What is Reiki ?
Reiki is Japanese for universal life energy. This energy is transferred to the student by a Reiki Master through the use of sacred symbols with what is called an attunement. This attunement passes this Reiki Energy onto the practitioner. You must learn and be attuned from a master to practice this form of energy healing. Once the attunement takes place, the practitioner is used as a funnel for the energy. The practitioner can focus this energy on areas where it is needed.
Can I still take my medication and see my regular doctor if I use Reiki?
Yes, this helps to boost your body’s natural ability to increase the effectiveness of medications and medical treatments. It is also a great form of relaxation. Many hospitals are now incorporating this on medical surgical units and on rehab floors. It has been shown to decrease the use of pain medication and aide in faster healing times. As a Registered Nurse I will use my nursing assessments and my understanding of the functioning of the human body to facilitate the process. Reiki Healing does not replace the treatment of a trained medical professional.
Do I have to be a certain religion to use Reiki?
No, Reiki is not affiliated with any religion. It does not conflict with western medicine or any religious or cultural beliefs. Anyone can benefit from its energy as long as they are a willing participant. You as the client must be involved in the process for Reiki to have your desired effect.
What do I do during a reiki session?
If it is a first visit I will go over a questionnaire to help fine tune each session to your personal needs. You will then come to the Reiki area and get comfortable on my table. This is done laying on your back and then on your abdomen. The energy is transferred from the palms of the hands, so depending on your comfort, light touch will be used or above the body. Soft music will play and candles and running water are used to attain a relaxing atmosphere.
What is worn during Reiki, do I have to undress?
No, this can be performed with light touch or with no touch above the body. It is best though to wear loose fitting comfortable clothing like sweats. Try to remove any metal objects like jewelry, zippers, wallets, etc. Metal can block the flow of energy. The more relaxed you are the better the energy will flow.
Can this hurt me?
No, Reiki is a smart energy. It will flow where it is needed the most at that time without you even knowing it is needed there. Your body will only take what it needs.
How often do you need to have Reiki?
It is best to have this performed at least three times in five days for a first time client. This can be done with two visits and a distance healing or three in office visits or one office visit and two distance healings. I will have packages available for first time clients to get the sessions in at a discounted rate. If you have had Reiki in the past month or after your first three visits this can be done once a week to once a month. Each energy healing session is priced at a flat rate, a reiki session can take 30 minutes to 1 and a half hours.
What if I don’t have a hour or so to have Reiki can it be done faster?
One way to get a fast dose of Reiki is to have a Byosen scanning done. With the scan I feel your energy field from the top of the head down to the feet. I will usually feel a physical sensation or a dip in the energy at the trouble spot. I then send the Reiki energy to that area. This is great for a quick charge or boost in energy.
What are your rates?
Single sessions are $45.00 (each session is 30 minutes to 1 and a half hours long)
Distance Healings are $30.00 a session.
Byosen Scannings are $25.00 for approximately 30 minutes.

I met with Stephanie for the first time to get reiki. She was very plesant and sweet to work with, and very uplifting. After my session I was so unbelieveably relaxed. The issues I was experiencing with abdominal pain and sleeping seemed to greatly improve. Being my first time I was extreamly surprised by this and how well it worked. Stephanie’s prices are extreamly reasonable and would defentally reccomend this to anyone.
